I’ve yet to watch 27 Dresses, but I want to.

I think it just came out on DVD today.

I’ve seen a lot of 27 Dresses previews, and they look like my kind of rainy-day, stay in bed and eat ice cream kind of movie.

Even though I’m married, I think most women could relate or sympathize with the 27 Dresses premise and main character’s plight.

Imaginative and thought-provoking.

I tried to watch The Darjeeling Limited the other night.

My husband had sweetly rented it for me, thinking it was the kind of “chick flick” I’d like.

We got thru maybe the first half-hour of The Darjeeling Limited.

Then we turned off The Darjeeling Limited.

Just wasn’t that good to me.

I don’t know…maybe I’ll give it another shot someday.

But that intro with Natalie Portman that played at the beginning of The Darjeeling Limited, that made me want to visit that hotel in Paris for the gorgeous vista from the balcony.

Oui.

I’m learning French…

Amazon has the full-length Into the Wild movie to download and watch online.

Into the Wild was so good when I watched it.

Afterwards, I went out and bought the book.

Still gotta read it though…

Emile Hirsch does an amazing job.

So does Sean Penn.

The writing in Into the Wild is above par.

That’s what prompted me to buy the biography.

The young virgin queen got out there and fought with her troops, preparing for death or new life against the Spanish Armada.

The costumes, as you can imagine, are amazing.

When my husband and I watched the full Are We Done Yet? movie (which you can download here online),we said, Boy, hasn’t Ice Cube come a long way since his days with NWA?

And watching the Are We Done Yet? full movie, I couldn’t help but feel glad for Ice Cube’s wonderful film career, especially in light of the fate of his former NWA rap group members — like Eazy E, who died so young of AIDS.

But watching the Are We Done Yet? movie with my family was a delight.

It’s one of those feel-good movies that kinda makes the world seem like a utopia without many problems beyond a “money pit” of a home in a wacky town where one guy is the sheriff, the roof contractor and more.

Ah, rent or buy and download Are We Done Yet? with delight.

Watching Fast Food Nation — download the full movie online here and watch it online on your computer – was an eye-opener for me.

The Fast Food Nation movie really brought to light the injustices of illegal aliens crossing the Mexican border and getting sent to far away states in the US to work in very unsanitary conditions in the meat industry.

Fast Food Nation as a movie made me want to read the book, which I still haven’t done.

But the Fast Food Nation movie at least brought to light practices many people weren’t aware of.

When I watched the whole, full, entire, amazing ‘The Last King of Scotland’ movie — I didn’t watch it online, but you can download and watch the whole movie thru Amazon’s Unbox Player for less than 4 bucks — as of this writing — I learned a whole lot about the cruelty of Idi Amin.

And it was only by the saving hand of God that the central subject made it out of his African adventure alive and well enough to tell his amazing story, translated wonderfully on film.

No wonder The Last King of Scotlandwon so many awards.

Truly amazing.
